2009 Armed Forces Bowl:
Houston vs Air Force

A big event is scheduled to happen on December 31, 2008 at around noon. This is the Armed Forces Bowl, or more completely known as “Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl.” This event will be televised live from the Amon Carter stadium. The Armed Forces Bowl will be showcasing Conference USA schools and Mountain West conference. It was called “Fort Worth Bowl” in the initial years, and this ESPN-owned entity signed up with Bell Helicopter. Since 2006, the latter committed to be the title partner.

As the Armed Forces Bowl approaches, the concerned staff are busy having talks with the Armed Forces Insurance of Leavenworth, ironing out matters toward a three-year partnership contract.

Armed Forces Insurance is expected to fulfill three crucial things for the Armed Forces Bowl: co-presenting partner (for Team Kickoff), Title Partner (Armed Forces Adventure Area), and Presenting Partner (for the Great American Patriot award). This coming Bowl is not just your usual football matches. Another good reason you should get your Armed Forces Bowl tickets is that there will be a fanfest this year. This event will show hardware from each service branch, a skydiving show, a flyover, an honor guard, among others.

There is no reason to hesitate in buying Armed Forces Bowl tickets, for they are quite affordable. Sideline seats cost fifty dollars, while upper deck is forty dollars. A fraction of local ticket revenues would be earmarked for military charity establishments.

Last December, every fan who bought an Armed Forces Bowl ticket had a very memorable experience. The Cal and the Air Force gave a truly exciting and nail-biting game. This coming game can be another unforgettable event, so don’t miss it.
